The state-run Ariya news agency sounded alarm bells on the rising number of women sleeping in the streets of Tehran."For some time now we have been hearing more and more about women sleeping in the streets, and the issue becomes even more complex when pregnant women are also seen amongst them," the news agency writes.
"While two
years ago it was reported that 12,000 people are sleeping in the
streets, the director of Tehran reported this number has risen to 15,000
in 2014. These are the latest numbers reported on April 9 by the Tehran
Municipality Welfare Organization," he said .
