NCRI - After 62nd resolution censuring rights violations in Iran, executions and repression are still continuing.
The Iranian regime's judiciary in the southern province of Hormozgan hanged at least five prisoners. The five prisoners were all sentenced to death allegedly for drug related offences, the fudiciary said on Tuesday.
Another group of 2 prisoners were hanged on Monday in southeastern Iran in a prison in city of Zahedan.
Amnesty International said in a statement last week: The rate of executions in Iran is deplorable which, if they continue at the current rate, could reach more than 1,000 this year. In case after case we hear allegations of torture, fundamentally flawed trials, all in breach of international law and standards."
