In the early hours of Wednesday, January 25, 2017, anti-death penalty and human rights activist, Shahnaz Akmali was arrested by plainclothes agents and taken to an unknown location.
Ms. Akmali lost her son, Mostafa Karim-Beigi, during the 2009 uprising in Iran and has been active since then to demand the rights of victims of execution and political prisoners and their families.
A source close to Karim-Beigi family said, "Five or six plainclothes agents went to Ms. Akmali's residence and searched the house thoroughly. They confiscated and took away with them all of her belongings including her electronic communication devices."

UN Urges Iran Not to Execute Man Convicted While a Juvenile

The U.N. Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights is urging Iran to stop the execution of a man who was a juvenile when sentenced in 2012. Sajad Sanjari was 15 years old when an Iranian court sentenced him to death for fatally stabbing a man. In 2014, he was granted a retrial under a new Islamic Penal Code, but the following year, a provincial criminal court rejected his argument that he acted in self-defense against a would-be rapist. The court confirmed the death sentence, saying Sanjari was mature enough to understand the nature of his crime. This ruling was upheld by Iran's Supreme Court last year.
A spokesman for the human rights office, Rupert Colville, says Iran is one of a few countries that still executes juvenile offenders. He says the use of capital punishment on anyone under the age of 18 is a violation of international human rights law. "At least five juveniles were reportedly executed in Iran last year,” Colville said, “and at least 78 people reportedly remain on death row for crimes they committed when they were under 18, although the actual figure may be much higher than that. " The number of executions in Iran is difficult to pin down, Colville tells VOA, because of the opaque system of government. "According to various NGO [non-governmental organization] sources, the number of people executed in 2016, last year, was over 500 — 530 according to some,” Colville said. “The vast majority is said to be for drug offenses."

Under international law, the death penalty may be imposed only for the most serious crimes — those involving intentional killing. Human rights experts say drug-related offenses do not meet that bar. Today November 27, late Ayatollah Montazeri’s son Ahmad Montazeri was sentenced to imprisonment and defrocking, according to an announcement by the Montazeri’s official website. Due to publishing his father's audio files on the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran, on charges of "acting against national security and propaganda against the publication of secret documents" Ahmad Montazeri has been sentenced to 21 years in prison and defrocking by the Special Clerical Court.

More than any other party, the World Day Against the Death Penalty targets the Iranian regime that has so far executed 120,000 political prisoners who were serving their prison sentences, but were hanged just for their political beliefs. Mrs Rajavi said: According to Khomeini's fatwa, any prisoner who continued to adhere to the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), had to be executed.

The number of executions including political executions in Iran over the past one year exceed the number of executions carried out in most of the years of Khamenei's rule. The mass executions of 25 Sunni Kurds on August 2, 2016, and the executions of three Arab political prisoner on August 17, 2016, are just to name a few examples. According to the report by the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran, Ahmad Shahid, nearly 1,000 people were executed last year in Iran. Then, in March 2015, Rouhani's Interior Minister Rahmani Fazli admitted, "Undoubtedly, part of the dirty money of drug trafficking gets funneled into the country's politics, elections and transfer of power." The death penalty faces growing opposition and general detestation in Iran, as well. The movement to obtain justice for victims of the massacre in 1988 has expanded in recent months cornering the mullahs with regards to continuing the executions.

Maryam Rajavi: I call on the international community to provide the arrangements for the prosecution of the clerical regime's leaders, particularly its leader Khamenei, in the international courts for the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners. We call on western governments to make their relations with the Iranian regime contingent on a moratorium on executions. Khamenei's henchmen flogged a woman in public in Golpayegan

On Wednesday 27, April, Iran's fundamentalist regime in an inhumane action flogged a woman in public in Golpayegan, central Iran. The woman, who introduced only by her initials S. T, has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment also was given 100 lashes, state media reported. Recently the clerical regime has increased a new wave of repressive measures including executions and repression of women and flogging in public. There haven’t been reports in state media of women being flogged in public in Iran in recent years. 

Farideh Karimi, a human rights activist and member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), strongly condemned the public flogging in Golpayegan. "The public flogging of a woman in Iran is a new misogynist measure by the Rouhani government, which is extremely disturbing and abhorrent. The women politicians from the West who visit Iran should reconsider such outreaches and their impact in emboldening the regime in its attitude, "she said.

Amnesty: Iran regime executed at least 977 people including juveniles in 2015

NCRI- Regime Iran executed nearly one thousand people including offenders, in 2015, in the number of executions recorded last year which saw more people put to death than at any point in the last quarter-century, Amnesty International said in a report on Wednesday. According to Amnesty International, 977 people were executed in 2015, compared to at least 743 the year before, Amnesty International wrote in its annual Death penalty 2015 report. Amnesty's figures showed, the Iranian regime was responsible last year for

nearly 60 percent of all executions in the world with the exception of those in China. Salil Shetty, Amnesty Secretary General, said that the Iranian regime put people to death at "unprecedented levels, often after grossly unfair trials."

NCRI- The West countries look to Rouhani as a 'moderate' and one of the 'good guys' but Iranian people and resistance know very well that he represents the fundamentalism idea. Mr. Booker wrote in the January 24 edition of The Sunday Telegraph: "For a start the real power in Iran lies not with Rouhani but with its Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei, who is directly responsible the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), Iran’s equivalent of the old Soviet KGB, imposing ruthless order at home and supporting terror across the Middle East." Hassan Rouhani is the president of the regime who has been supported of Assad regime in Syria since 2011by the IRGC and barrel bombs and all. The parer added:

Dr. Ahmad Shaheed, the United Nation Special Repportuer on the situation of Human Rights in Iran, published on his website on Wednesday: "Iran is one of a handful of countries that still executes child offenders, or boys and girls under 18 years of age at the time they commit a crime." He said: "by law of the mullahs' judiciary, sentenced girls as young as nine lunar years and boys as youngs as 15 lunar years to death by hanging, in plain violation one of the most fundamental and sacrosanct rights recognized under international law."  
Hassan Rouhani described these executions as "God's commandments" and "laws of the parliament that belongs to the people." On the last November the Mullahs regime in Iran was condemned for 62nd times by the UN General Assembly.

Iran - The three executions again in prison by mullahs regime

NCRI - Iran's fundamentalism regime hanged three man in a prison in Khorramabad, western Iran. They had been transferred to solitary confinement on Friday. They were hanged at dawn in Parsiloun Prison. All three had been accused of drugs related charges. The three men were identified as Behrouz Amiri, Rahman Kazemzadeh and Ali Hassanvand.

The mullahs’ regime on Thursday hanged a group of eight prisoners collectively in the central prison in Qazvin, northern Iran. These executions are doing at the time that, recently the mullahs' regime was condemned for 62th by the United Nations because human rights violations.
